I am sure you heard this before
God works in mysterious ways. I know it sounds cliché to some but I believe it and I know it to be true.
Today was a huge lesson for me. I woke up extremely early to start my Saturday and I had to do some errands. I kind of had my whole Saturday planned; so I had thought. Needless to say I arrived at my destination, completed my task and as I got in my car and proceeded to start the ignition the car would not start. I took the key out and I tried again because this can't happen not today and not in this moment.
Well everything in that moment was actually reality and the car would not start. My errands were completed and I had somewhere to go and just like that plans have changed. This situation reminded me of Proverbs 16:9 NKJV: A man’s heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps.
Although, at the moment I was very upset because within the next 20 minutes or so of my car not starting my phone battery was only on 13% battery life and it said, “phone is running hot must shutdown.” What a day I was having I called for some rescue and as they proceeded to come to my destination I convinced myself to try starting the car again as soon as the rescue arrived the car started I was delayed an entire hour.
For what reason I still don’t know but I know I had plans of how I wanted my day to go and the Lord had other plans. I trust that God was protecting me from some dangers I know nothing about or I really believe the car battery stalling and my phone battery: God is letting me know in his own mysterious way that I need to slow down and recharge everyone in my life is literally telling me I am doing way to many things and if I have to be honest; I am. I have bitten off more than I could possibly chew in this moment as the saying goes.
So I wanted to encourage someone today. Whenever unexpected things begin to arise, take a moment to assess the situation, yes but don’t forget to say, “Lord, what are you trying to tell me at this moment.” Remember God does speak in mysterious ways don’t forget about the rushing mighty wind. Acts 2:1-2 NKJV When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. The Holy Spirit comes as a ‘rushing mighty wind.”
