Train up a child in the way they should go

One of my happiest moments someday will be when God will allow me an opportunity to become a mother and when I do. One of my greatest gifts to my children would be to raise them in such a way that they will not depart from their Lord and savior Jesus Christ. The scripture teaches us Proverbs 22:6 NKJV Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

I personally believe as a Christian; that’s probably one of our greatest accomplishments is to raise our children to be servants to the lord. It’s important that we treat our children as the gifts God entrusted us with and we are to love them and nurture them, so they grow up to be wonderful human beings.

In regard to a relationship, I do believe a man leads a woman however he must be committed to the Lord before he can lead. Let's be honest if your partner is not committed to the Lord before trying to lead you, he is only capable of leading you to hell and destruction. I don’t personally believe a woman can be an example to a man because a woman wasn't called to teach a man. However, she can conduct herself in a Godly way that will allow her husband to want to crossover from darkness into the marvelous light.

In my opinion yes, our children can choose to follow the straight and narrow or they can choose another path and not follow Christ on a path that leads to righteousness. Either way it’s a parent's job to train your children up in such a way where they become older, and they won’t depart. It’s not anyone else's job. When they become adults, the choice is up to them. Remember a believer's job is to plant the seed of faith in someone’s life but it’s up to the individual to water it. And as the saying goes, “we can take the horse to the water, but we can’t make him drink it. Amen.

Always remember Matthew 7:13-14 NKJV 13 “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. 14 Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.
